very happy for the price.
I only put a box of buck and few slugs threw it, and it performed well. not as much kick as you would think, maybe do to the chunky stock. I've since removed the rubber and an 1" off the butt. I dropped it off with my leather guy today, he's making up a butt. cover with 2 or 4 shell pockets and maybe some art that I left up to him.

edit: adding a proof shot

I am very excited to be taking mine to the range today. Yesturday, I made a neat discovery though.

I wanted to put a sling on my outlaw. I just drilled and screwed the rear stud in. No big deal there. But then I was looking at the fore end for a spot to put the front one.

It turns out that the front screw that holds the locking hardwar to the wood is a 10/32 screw. Same as the the machine screw swivel studs. All I had to do was run a die over the stud to thread the last 1/8" of it and iw works perfectly. On the inside, I just opened up the hole a bit and bedded the nut for the stud in there. And it looks factory! I feel lucky how that turned out.

I am a happy owner who has fired his outlaw! (TOOK LONG ENOUGH!)

Gun snobs be damned. I like this gun. The right barrel is pretty much bang on. The left one shoots about a foot high and left at 25m. The recoil is less than I thought it would be too. Even with slugs its not too bad. The patern for a single barrel covers a 5 or 6 foot radius from your point of aim at 50m. I put out some clays, just on the ground at 20 to 25 yards to simulate some close range gopher slaying and it performed with grace! It decimated them! So I am definately looking forward to shooting it on the gopher patch this summer if I can get out there.

The picture below is the result of a few blasts of 7.5 shot at 15 yds. The black dot was my POA. I was so excited to blast off I didnt even really aim much! I just let go with both barrels.

When it came time to unload, I found that a flick of the wrist would dump the empty in the right chamber, but the left one would stay, so I guess I will try polishing that one a bit.

Other than that the only thing I have to say is that this gun gets very hot! Dont touch the barrels when firing alot. I think I burnt my thumb on it.

Helluva fun gun!

Thanks for the report BabySeal.

I have no clue as to how SxS are made, this is just my $0.02.

It appears that these Outlaws at 25 yards are consistently on POA with the right barrel and high and left with the left barrel. Even the amount that the left barrel is off appears to be fairly consistent in the Outlaws with range reports.

IMHO this indicates that it is not a quality assurance quality control (QAQC) problem in that the barrels are being joined in a consistent manner. If the Outlaws were all printing in different places WRT POA I'd agree that a barrel joining QAQC problem existed. Instead it indicates that the setup of the process for joining the barrels to the rib was not checked or was faulty at the begining of manufacture.

That is they could have made them print closer to POA with the left barrel if they had checked them at the start of their manufacturing process.

Or maybe I'm expecting too much from a $299 shotgun! ;)

:D
I own a DA Outlaw but it would have been faster for me to "photoshop" a unique looking (but absolutely phoney) ownership photo from the Outlaw photos presented on this thread by cutting and pasting into a photo of a chair I have on my computers HD than taking an actual photo of my Outlaw using Adobe Photoshop.

If my word is not sufficient so be it.

It ain't that important.

I agree that everybody seems to be experiencing the same thing. And i bet that something in the factory needs a little nudge this way or that to correct it. But all in all its not bad. I can remember that I have to drop and shift right a bit for the left barrel. Really though, its perfect for gophers that are running away at an angle slightly to the left. Just let both barrels loose and you'll get him.

I do wish I could figure out a way to correct it though.

How do you take this thing apart? Only 3 threads came up when I searched for "outlaw" in shotgun forum. Search function is broken.
Same way you put it together when it came:D Oh,unless your taking the trigger and stuff apart:D
Anyone know where the tread is that showed how to fix the slop in the forehand thingy?

I doubt it. Who thinks redleg, who works at TSE pushing fabarm and the rest of it actually ordered a Chinese SXS?

You must be the only one...........RIF- Redleg isn't on the poll list- Redflag, otoh, is.

As always, don't let the facts get ya down.

Well thats my 2nd join date, technically I have been on CGN since the beginning. Maybe not a newb, but still wrong, still talking out of place.

Here is mine... fits nicely in a violin case too!

So when can we expect to see your outlaw for sale in the Exchange? :)

What ... you haven't shot it yet? I see the fore-end is still intact. :p When you do, don't have your lovely wife's face that close to the gun.

Better request access for approval to the Exchange Forums soon.

... and welcome to CGN you gangsters, you. :D

Nice case BTW.
