Tokarev (M213) Grip options?

Hey guys, like I wrote elsewhere, I had a sliver of the plastic grip brake off of my M213. I contacted Canada Ammo and they said they did not have any spare grips left at the moment. They are supposed to ship me a replacement when they can cannibalize a returned pistol.

In the meantime, I was thinking of buying a Pachmayr slip on Grip to cover the original grips and absorb shocks/vibrations to prevent further disintegration.

Browsing the Pachmayr website, I was not able to figure out what particular size of grip I needed to order and I was unable to find a dealer within 200 miles of my postal code. That's when I e-mailed their customer service dep. only to get the most retarded response ever:

"If you look at the descriptions offered for the slip-on grips you may be able to determine which will fit your gun. There is a Locator button on our website that does list dealer in Canada."

What the heck did that a$$hole think I tried doing before I bothered e-mailing him? So much for customer service.

So I am asking you Gunnutz the same question: I am looking for a slip on grip for a Tokarev pistol. Could you please tell me which model and size would be appropriate. Also, I was unable to locate a dealer near me using the dealer locator. Is there anyone in Canada that does mail order that would have said product in store?

For the benefit of everyone, please share any other grip options that might be available for this pistol.

Thanks in advance, I have no doubt that you guys will be more helpful than any customer service department.

There was also an m213 recently sold on the EE that had a hogue slip on grip. That might be an option as well.

Why, I didn't remember that Hogue made the "slip on" grip, your are correct. I pulled out the catalog and found the Handall grip sleeve. They do not list the Tokarev in their "Match a size list" but from what I can gather, the Handall Jr. is for pocket pistols and the regular Handall fits everything else, like the P38, the Makarov, P220, etc.

I had my grips sprayed with Rhino Lining truck bed liner to prevent craking.

Smart move, got any picks?

FYI, in an other thread, Canam stated that he was looking to get his hands on some Tokegypt type grips to sell as upgrades. These are P38 looking and seem to wrap around the back strap, which is perfect for those with larger hands.

Personally, I like the size of the original grips for my stubby fingers.

P12 - I've got a couple of these beasties coming so I wanted to see your picture of the grip job. Tried to follow the link and all I get is a blank page. Might be because of the thread size. Would you please post again in this thread and hopefully I have better luck opening it. thx :D

I tried the regular Handall and it did not fit very good at all.Packmeyer have more sizes, thats my next option.

Or you can make new grips from scratch...
I will be making more in different woods, shapes and sizes and will sell them on the EE shortly... if you are interested

Apparently that's a Serbian copy of the original Tokarev. "Crvena Zastava" or something, I cant find much info on it.
