has anyone bought norinco firearms from marstars? if so, what was the quality of the firearm and what was the service like? did you have to return for service or refund and what was that like.

a couple of months ago, I bought a norinco NP 58 (sig 226 clone) and it was at my door a week after I placed the order. not bad for a mail order pistol. the lady I talked to there seemed nice enough and I havent had a problem with the firearm yet.

Bought a NP22 (Sig266 clone) from them back in 2002. Ordered by phone and it arrived about a week or so later. I've put over 10000 rounds through of all sorts or factory, reload and factory reload. I've replaced one spring and added soft grips. It's my favourite hand blaster.

Good company. Slow on the emails but top notch over the phone with a solid guarantee to boot. Search for 'marstar' in several of the forums and you'll get nothing but good reports.

Do a search for opinions about Norinco firearms, and you will be overwhelmed.
I have owned some, used some, and sold some through my business. They can vary from being in the best buy category to being embarrassments. It would be best to ask about any specific models in which you are interested.
Most report that phoning Marstar is the best way to do business. I do not recall any reports of problems with their warranty.

to be honest there are several firearms i'd like to have off their site but i am wary of the fact that they are made in china i guess. i dont realy have the cash to make a mistake, any gun i get has to last me. i have to boot strap my hobby here as there is only one income for the forseeable future.

My brother in-law has two or three norinco products from martsar and has no issues with them. He likes there service and the guns provide him the enjoyment he wanted when he purchased them.

Got the norinco m-14s from marstar directly. Excellent rifle and service.
Also have a norinco CZ-75 clone bought from another dealer. Excellent pistol at a great price.

If it is any indication as to their popularity, you will notice that most Norincos at Marstar are sold out......

My buddy bought a Norinco Tokarev 9mm from them and I bought one of those cool looking Tomahawk tactical shotguns... Fast shipping, and nice to deal with.

Search will result in tons of results, mostly positive in nature. Some will b!tch about "made in china" no matter what the actuall rifle is like. Others will b!tch if a email isn't responded to within a certain time frame no matter how busy a dealer may be. If your a reasonable person i'd wager you'd be happy dealing with them and buying the norinco products that interest you.

bought a NP-40 (CZ clone) from Marstar, about a week to get, about 1500 rds through it, no problems at all !, the only thing i did to the pistol was remove the cheap factory plastic grips , and instralled a set of hogue rubber finger-groove grips for about 30 bucks !

I've bought the two tone norc 1911 off Marstar and love it! Their service is great and the products very reliable. I still own that 1911 a standard Norinco 1911 government Norinco M14s and a Norinco SKS56 and have owned and sold a Norinco NP34 (Sig 228 clone), and I have never had any problems with any of them. Norincos are great bang for the buck, I'm still waiting for my Type 97 and am looking in to the CQ556 (Norinco M4) as my next purchase

That may also be due to the fact that they seem to restock it once in a blue moon... I've been waiting for the Norc .22LR Mauser training rifle to be restocked for the past few years now. :rolleyes:

Come on now, get your facts together before making such a statement.
Do you have any idea of the lead time involved in dealing with Norinco ??

RUFFBIRD;
Yes we have a major shipment (container) of pistols due in a few weeks....
Yes we always announce arrivals in our "new arrivals" section

TO THOSE WHO ASKED;
Marstar has sold thousands of Norinco products over the years....

Of course part of our success has been our warranty policy, un-matched in the market place. They are great value
