Americans & Norincos....

They'd like to. Especially the 1911's.........

Especially at the prices we can get the for up here.

But they can't have 'em [not new imports anyway]

NAA.

I've been looking into this myself for the past few days because I'm interested in the Norinco NP-34 and I wanted to figure out if there was a specific reason they weren't allowed to be imported into the US.

Here's what I found:
1993 Clinton administration blocks importation of Norinco (most likely all Chinese firearms) into the US.

1994-1996 "The largest seizure of fully operational automatic weapons in U.S. history" Chinese Arms dealers including at least 3 Norinco Representatives broker a deal to sell 2,000 full auto AK variants, weapons parts and grenades to what they believe are Organized Crime members and Drug Dealers. After the shipment is received, they offer shoulder fired rockets, mortars and anti-aircraft missiles to the customers...turns out they're BATF & Customs Officers!

2003 US imposes sanctions on Norinco for allegedly selling missile related goods to Iran. This leads to total prohibition on the importation of Norinco products into the US.

Sooo.....yeah, that's what I found, take it for what it's worth. It's kinda too bad because I really was interested in the NP-34.

Has something to do with norinco selling full autos & other goodies to criminals.

Have no doubt, these guys are the lowest of the low.

Hey its the arms industry...have you watched the Lord of War...its not just the Chinese/Norinco. Most major manufacturer's products are available to most terrorists, criminals, and every banana republic tinpot dictator...

They wanted to protect their own firearm manufacturers, so they found some excuse to block Norinco.
^^^That's the correct answer right there. ^^^

When the US guns manufacturers NEED to buy parts made in China
and use them in their "proudly made in Amelica" AR's and other guns,
so they save money in the manufacturing process,
it seems there is no problem then.

It had nothing to do with protecting U.S. manufacturers. Clinton banned the importation of 'em supposedly to punish the Chinese for their human rights policies. It was really because the Polytech's and Norinco's were very inexpensive versions of the M14/M1A. He was as anti-firearm as it can get. He didn't want a bunch of law abiding voters being able to buy inexpensive rifles that he thought are battle rifles.

You can't eventake your norc to the states to shoot in matches, and your just going to shoot it, not sell it, well thats america, wonder if we brought chines cars, would we be able to drive them over the border lol

Well with China's reputation in the US, there probably would not be a huge market for them. And people who bought them would be alienated from the rest of the community for "supporting an evil, baby eating communist regime". That alone would turn the average shooter away form a Norc. Am I wrong?

Have you been drinking? Yes you are wrong. If you were right, all the goods in walmart would be manufactured in the good ol US of A.
