What's next on your rifle list?

Cool project I probably won't do ....... Get a Model Seven CDL and rebarrel it to 250 AI.

Other than that, I have a 602 action F/S in the EE. If it doesn't sell, I'm going to have to give it some thought. It might become a 350 G&H.

.

I'm with cmoney with either a 22-250 or a 243. The 243 is tempting a I hunt deer and it would be a nice little rifle. The 22-250 would be fun just for shooting. Kinda like a laser.

I might throw it all out the window if a short barrel lever action .44mag comes around. I want one of those too. It's not like a laser.. Kinda like a rainbow, but still cool.

especially when you're into dumping $ into redundancy :D :runaway:

After the first 260, they are all redundant.:p

That being said, it is part of the reason why i am splitting up the rifles between manufacturers and types. The 243 is a standard sporter, the 260 is a lightweight, my wife calls it hers (because the 260 really is ideal for women and girly men), the 308 is a lever gun best used in the bush, and was inherited. The 338 fed is another for the wife, which i may or may not shorten up a touch.

Now the part where the redundancy kicks in is with the 7-08, as it is almost as good as the 280 i already have. I will have to put that one in a medium heavy barrel and set it up for prairie hunting, antelope and the like. The 358 in a takedown wont do much that the 338 fed cant do, but it will be a handy little package in a takedown rifle, something that can come out west with me whenever i go and not take up too much space in the truck.

Buying rifles is on the back burner for now. I'm getting into reloading, and need new bases/rings and a scope for my savage in 30-06. But I do have my eyes on a husky 1600 in 6.5 and would like something in .243, maybe a CZ

On the back burner for me too. But I am thinking of a dedicated moose rifle - CRF in 338-06 or 35 Whelen, polished blue and nice wood.

looking for a muzzleloader, and have noticed that the length of pull is 14.5 inches on lots of them. i was thinking about a laminate stock model so that it could be sized cause i don't know if synthetic stocks lend themselves to being sized. then this comes along, with a one inch shorter length of pull, and the flex tech stock which was previously only available on the encores.
does this stock make any noteable difference? if it doesn't i'll just get a laminate 50 cal in a knight, savage or tc .

Ruger Alaskan in .375 Ruger dropped into a pepper laminated stock, topped off with a 30mm 2-7x33 Leupold with detachable rings, and a safari Ching sling. That should do me nicely for hunting anything, on this planet at least.

Firstly, a scope for my 375Ruger. Probably a VXIII 1.5-5 or 2.5-8.

Next and extremely unlikely, a LH Kimber Montana in 708. Oh well, it's easier on the check book when some rifles aren't available........
