i recieved my norinco pistol today. for $99, it's better than i expected. the triger was almost a 2 finger afair. i just got done working the triger return spring and smoothing the
trigger slides. this helped. i took the return spring down to
.080 wide in the middle. in the next day or so i plan on
working on the hammer and sear. anyhow here is a pic
of the reworked spring.

This'd be a fun base for frankenguns...

Anyone feel like making the people at the registry have an anneurism by converting it to a non restricted? :p:)

I got mine tonight and I have had both apart a couple times.

After a serious cleaning and a proper oiling, they appear much better than I was expecting. I also got the red box ones. I think they are nicer without all the extra letters stamped on the side.

I'll see how they shoot soon.

My wife bought one at chistmas time and recieved it shortly after. It shoots and it shoots and it shoots. We have put at least 500 rounds through it without failure. The only problem is the slide is hard unless you #### the hammer first and let the gun do the work after that.

I am tired of the complaints. This is a gun that is a tried and tested design, has seen combat.. and worked in every imaginable condition in the world. It is fairly accurate, finnish is a litttle rough, but without a doubt the best value in the country today. With nearly 700 rounds through it I have yet to have a failure. This gun is designed to be mass prouduced, and issued to soldiers.

my buddy got one, just junk!

Unless the pistol did not function properly, then It would be considered "junk!".
However, if it indeed does operate without flaw, in response to various other sources on this forum, I would like to see the other options available for a $99 center fire pistol. I'm not trying to be ignorant, but let's just get the facts straight here. Then pass our judgment accordingly to the cost vs.value issue.

craftmanship is just junk, if you want a junk made gun buy this one, it may fire but its not something to be proud of. i held my buddies and it feels cheap too, good luck with your junk.

The finish is not great but it is a very functinal, accurate, reliable firearm. 70 years of history behind it. It just shows that you don't need the frills. I have fired all kinds of amo through mine from re-loads to nice JHP's. It ate them all.

I ordered one last week and I'm looking forward to getting it, "junk" or not. I have a SIG P226 and paid good money for it, I'm not expecting this to be remotly anywhere near the same. But hell if I can load the clip, and it shoots, who really cares? It's a 99 dollar gun! Of course it feels cheap! IT IS!!!

Yes, the world is full of people who say everything is crap, and they cannot do anything better. Let see you build something better for the same price and we will line up to buy it. Otherwise save up your money and go buy a new sig.

So have you shot one? Lets be real here. It seems all the posts from people who have these guns indicate that they are good for the price point. I have several quality pistols including Sig and Berreta BUT I also have a few old beaters that I don't expect much from but enjoy shooting just as much.

I have ordered one of these and I can't wait to get it. It looks like a fun gun to play around with and hell for $99.00 what more can you say..... I spend more than that on ammo some weeks.

Played with something very similar when Century Arms was still around selling surplus.

Built like a SBH. Went bang and lead went downrange like all other battle pistols do today.

Worked just fine. Mine was a Tok first then had a 9mm barrel added later (no the worlds best conversion). It shot the Tok ammo really well. 9mm functioned but accuracy was not as good as the Tok pipe.

Best addition that came with the pistol was the Tokagypt (sp?) grips. Changed the erg alot making it feel very modern and comfy to shoot. Didn't like the orig grip angle as much.

The safety they added on was crap and didn't work but that was an afterthought done to satisfy someone on our side of the pond.

I bet if you felt some orig WWI 1911's you would cringe at the manf but who cares. It was built for soldiers to fight in muck. It worked as does the Tok.

Go have some $99 fun.... Word of advice, don't buy an SKS. You'll be horrified that for $200, its not as well finished as a Cooper.

Man! Why are you being like that? Your coming off like a snob guy. Geez, my dodge dakota is junk, but hey, it gets me around and has functionality.

These pistols are functional. They are accurate out to 20 yards just as good as most pistols four times as much. They are a steel construction, tuff.. combat proven pistols for $99 dollars.

So what if it is not a BMW, but only a dodge.. If it does the job its pretty hard to say anything against it without coming off like a snob.

Mine is on order. I was told that these were intended for the US market, but were banned do to the safety system not being approved by the US government. Oh, sure! So they found there way here. To me its perfect as this is another gun that we can legally own and that Americans can't.

So its unique to Canada. Sadly though this only proves that the Anties are getting smarter in the USA, which in the end will be bad for us in Canada.

Get em while yu can.....

If it does the job, your gonna look really stupid laying face down in the dirt with your $900 glock laying silent beside you. LOL....:kickInTheNuts:

I just recieved mine last week and had it to the range on the weekend. I also have a cz 75 shadow although it was not as accurate put 200 rounds through it and have no complaints. It is 99.00 dollars and not 999.00. So no the finish is not up to the shadow but I an extremely happy with my purchase you can't beat it 200 rounds no issues out of the box for $99.00 dollars!!
