Had one, when I first shot it, I wasn't holding it right, and the ejected brass kept on hitting me on the head.
So make sure you have the right grip, not necessary tight, but proper grip. Other than that, glocks are known for their durability, especially the G17.
Trigger can take a bit getting used to as well. Not really comparable to anything single action, out of box, but it can be tuned a little.
Accuracy... well, I thought my G17 was very picky about ammo as well as my grip on the gun. Takes quite a bit of practice to be able to shoot good, I guess that's why some cops are pretty lam shots... Factory barrel is good, but a custom barrel will always be better. For me, it's simply not the easiest pistol to be accurate with though.
Depends on what you want it for. If you just want something that goes bang every time, you made right choice. I tried IPSC Production with it, didn't work out for me.
