Another Glock vs M&P thread!!

Well, if I can get the CZ in past the wife, then it wil likely not be my last pistol purchase, and I sort of idly think about the cglocks sometimes. I'm completely Glock-ignorant, though. not in terms of the history or anty of that, but rather in terms of what the different model numbers mean. So, why the model 17, specifically? You're not the first person to say that to me.
 
the 17 is the original design that is the most durable. The platform was based around 9mm to start with. I had a gen 1 17 for a long time..great gun.
 
I own both a Glock 22 and an M and P 40...here is my .02 worth. I have had my Glock forever and love shooting it. It has never let me down. All I've had to do to it after 15k is replace the slide lock lever. The M and P is a great gun and I enjoy shooting that as well. It feels really good in the hand and comes with the three sizes of grips. I had to replace the slide lock lever on the right side after about 1000 rounds, though this was a warranty item. I have to admit that I also prefer the feel of the trigger reset on my Glock. The reset on the M and P just isn't as "positive" if you know what I mean. I also have a tactical stock for my G22, great fun and really extends the serviceable range of the gun. If I could only keep one of these guns I'd have to say it would be the Glock. I can't offer any opinions on 9mm vs 40cal as I don't own a 9mm. Once again, just my .02 worth. Either gun will be fun to shoot, guaranteed.

TDC: Yeah, I read somewhere that 56% of LE related firefights in the US are within 5 feet and 94% are within 10 yards. Just to support what you said about that.

The Glock is more then a great duty pistol. No other gun has taken the industry or market like the Glock did and as fast as it did. It is a simple to use, all around pistol that works.

Somebody just buy a Glock?:D:D:D

One reason why it makes such a great duty pistol is it is simple to use all around pistol that works. Some of them are reasonably accurate as well.;)
