I'd like to introduce a new product for the AR-15 .223. Vais Arms has manufactured this great break and it's ready to screw on. Comes in either SS or Parkerized chrome moly.

I will be doing a range test as soon as I get my hands on a Sound Pressure Meter. These breaks are the quietest on the market however I would like to do a test to compare the sound levels with and without the break. Muzzle lift will be minimized for certain.

See our website for pricing details.

Ever try one on an M14/M305/M1A 7.62x51 ?

hehehe, beat ya to it.... I've sent him the thread pitch for the usgi muzzle thread, I'm gonna put one on a krieger barrel and see how it performs... still diggin thru all my notes for the norc thread pitch though

Vais makes brakes in the following thread diameters 1/2", 9/16", 5/8", 11/16" and 3/4". Thread pitch is 32 TPI. I can cut metric threads from a blank if need be.

The AR-15 brakes are 1/2" x 28 TPI.

This metric and standard stuff confuses me, so the threading for your muzzle break will be 1/2" x 32tpi ?? I'm not sure if that will fit the common AR-15 since they are threaded 1/2" x 28tpi.

I'm working a night shift without much sleep so I apologize if I'm missing something here :)
