I need to buy a powder measure, is this one good for handgun ammos? thanks for the help.

I use it and find it very accurate, I am using 231 which meters fairly well though, can't speak to the other powders.

I would say its well worth the money.

I've used it for unique and it likes it very much as well. It tends to like powders that use very fine, "round" particles and not the ones that are shaped into "stick" shaped particles... if you can picture that one.

Do I have to buy a scale as well? thanks.

Ya you should still weigh every 5 throws just to be sure you're still getting what you want. I find I have to fine tune it every so often or it goes out.
It comes down to making sure you have as close to, or exactly the same hand motion each time you make a throw to be consistent.
I think the RCBS one is a little nicer to work with to be honest, but someday I'd really like to have one of the fancy RCBS chargemaster combos to tell you the truth--- nothing like automation!

I have a RCBS chargemaster combo but I also use a lee pro auto measure. If the Lee is mounted on a press and is activated by a charging/expander die then it is just as accurate as my chargemaster. Your arm speed on the lever doesn't influence the consistancy and accuracy of the charge being thrown.
Last night, once the powder settled in the hopper, I threw 6.7 gr at least 20 times and verified the accuracy. It hit 100% accuracy.
I was very impressed.

I've used one for many years and am very happy with it You need a scale to set it up and check, just like any other. 604shooter what ball powders are leaking out of yours? None of the Winchester powders leak outa mine, it also has no problems with flake powders like Blue-dot as some on here have mentioned in the past. Great value.

H110. It doesn't leak a whole lot of powder, but it does leak.

The problem seems to be quite common according to people on some of the other forums.

I have a chargemaster for my precision work and use that exact power measure from lee with IMR stick power for my bulk ammo that is rapid fired Thur my AR never let me down yet... I even cronographed some rounds and they where pretty good.
