Nork Suprlus 308 Ammo in Cans!

I wouldn't strictly call Republic of China ammo in NATO cartridges as military surplus. It is more new arsenal production. Made for export, whether for currency or political gains.
 
I found that the Chinese ammo grouped better than SA ammo.

Can anyone colaborate that a Norc casing is copper in color, with opposing 2 digit numbers as a head stamp?

The ammo I purchased was packaged in a brown paper bag (a can break down I assume). I purchased the Chinese ammo from the same establishment that sold me other sealed SA battle packs.

Yeah, does it have steel cases?
 
The ammo I have is steel cased (I check it with a magnet), copper in color, berdan primed, with opposing 2 digit numbers as a head stamp. It chronographed approx 2700 '/sec. It was packaged in a brown paper bag wraped in clear tape and was labeled "130 RIFLE CARTIDGES CAL 308 win FMJ, CENTURY INTL. ARMS LTD. Montreal, Quebec. Made in China". Cost me approx $0.50 per round.

What origin is it?

Good stuff, would get more if I could find it.

Lucky, could you post a pic of the CAN? Is it round or square? I would be interested in seeing that having recently purchased a case of 7.62X39 that came in a soldered tin can within a wood box. Interesting packaging.

I would post a pic but its nothing special, looks like a big can of beans without the label, if I have a minute I will post some pics later.

I acctually got it off a memeber, goes by the name MMATT, he bought it off an estate sale. Last I checked he had 1 can left.
 
I'm mmatt... and I have never had any 7.62 ammo, for sale or otherwise. I think you may be thinking of someone else.

Either that or I have a really bad memory! :D
