I have a Belgian Browning pump 22 takedown model. The serial number is 370**

I am trying to find out what year it was made. I cant seem to find the info on the Net.

The Browning site seems useless for this one........

Ah Randy

At long last I can help you out. Rimfire Central is every ones friend

You gun is dated at 1958, after 1958 serial numbers started to have more than 5 digits and started to have letters of the alphabet in them.
Regards Greg

Deadly. Thanks. I couldnt seem to find anything on the Internet last night, especially the browning info.

Muchly appreciated Greg. Thank you.

My second gun, in 1962, was like yours & I still have it & many more.
I use "Matt Eastman's Guide To Brownings" which states on p.#30 that one with ser.#
37,000 is made in 1931. These rifles are generally called the Trombone Model & where made from 1922 to 1973 , according to my book. AKA,,,,,,,,,,Indian Frank

Hey Fassteel, can you help me out? I have a Belgian Browning Pump takedown also. I inherited it from my Dad. He bought it new in Saskatchewan in the 1920's ser # 13###. Can you tell me when it was manufactured? I had my son out with it teaching him how to shoot and the ejector pin blew out when firing. Do you or anyone else know where to get parts?

Western gun parts has a few bits for these little gems. Parts come up on the EE too, put up a WTB????

Fassteel, if you're feeling ambitious my great Grandfather's is 354xx and I'd love to know when it was made too.:)

Thanks!
Noel

If your dad bought the gun new in the 20's, pretty safe bet that is when it was made? guns were first introduced in 1922.

:kickInTheNuts: your serial number is before 1958, the info I have won't give exact dates before 1958. FS

Do you have any production numbers for each year? I guess if Frank's above was built in `31 this one here would be maybe a year older or so. Story went that g-grampa bought the rifle in 1928 for $28. He was certain he got it used though.
This one needs an inner and outer mag tube assembly, my cousin must have had a wreck with it......
