Got a No.4 mk.1 and a No.5 Mk.1 Jungle Carbine which someone put a Busnell Banner lite-site scope on it (what does a lite site do? lol (no batteries in it))

The Light-Site is only a red dot at the crosshair junction, the crosshairs do not light up.
