Heh guys. I've got a 20 year old Savage 110 long action (pre accu-trigger), that needs a new adjustable trigger. What are my options in Canada and what would some of you recommend?

As far as I know you cannot have an Accu-trigger installed.
But there are other triggers such as Timney that are very good. I have a Timney trigger on a 96 Mauser action & really like it.

I've recently got a SSS and it is slick. Installs pretty easily, easily adjustable. Crisp pull and breaks clean. Timney are good but i'm quite happy with the SSS trigger and thinking of ordering another.

Sharp Shooter Supply trigger is good, I have one on one of my rifles. You can also adjust and respring the stock trigger. It didn't achieve what I wanted, along with being safe, so I went the easy route and went with the SSS trigger. I'm sure other brands are good as well, but I can't vouch for them. I've had a timney on a Mauser, and it was good, but the results and ease of install would be model specific.

You say you 'need' an adjustable trigger - any reason? You could always just get a good smith to lighten the stock trigger for you. Not sure how tough it is on a Savage - might be able to do it yourself.

This thing has a near 6lb pull and terrible creep. It always had a ####ty trigger, but I love my old rifle and it needs love.

True, but this rifle is slowly going to be customized for target shooting and I want a light trigger.....however, it also happens to be my fathers favorite deer gun (he can't leave my stuff alone :D), and he would not be comfortable with as light a pull as I prefer, hence an adjustable trigger is what I'd like.

The rifle is one of the few long actions, at the time, that Savage did in .243 win. I'll eventually want to re-barrel in .243 AI.
