This might be ridiculous, but alot of you have helped me along the way and i just want to say i took my BSA No.4 Mk.1Enfield out with a friend today for the first time, and..... i am amazed! The gun packs a huge punch! i was stupid and forgot ear plugs to boot! but after the initial damage was done to my ears the shooting got much more enjoyable, I really had a great time with it... next time i wont forget plugs although it really wasn't too bad..it would be slightly more enjoyable if i didn't think that i was throwing a dollar+ out every shot but thats the name of the game. I'm getting my matching Long buttstock today and my Grooved rear handguard, everything is coming along well I'm very pleased with the rifle, and my next missions are fabricating a leather gun case and a 1903 style bandoleer... hello my name is Tyler and I'm an Enfield junkie:D

p.s- if anyone has any links to proper technique etc that would be golden!

Way to go Tyler!

Yeah, ear plugs, and protection for the eyes as well.

If you are going to shoot lots, reloading your ammo is the way to go...

That's why I spent the money on a reloading kit. It's much more enjoyable to know that you're shooting match grade ammo for 41 cents a round. That way I can shoot my Enfields much, much more for the same price as before.

I was laughing as I read your post- Almost the exact same experience I had with the No.4 Mk1 I picked up off the EE. EAR PLUGS NEXT TIME FOR SURE!

Go to www.ima-usa.com Type bandoleer in the search block and you will come up with two different ones for the .303. I already have one of each and they are spot on. In the long run one heck of a lot cheaper than trying to make one.
