MIL/LE/FIRE/EMT shooters

Stormbringer, by rant, I take it that it was not a good go? How long ago was this may I ask? Assuming that you volunteered with the shooting portion, how was the match/calibre of participants? Just curious, I have never heard of this before now.

shoot

I have shot this event in the past, It is more of a social gathering of law enforcement personal. This is not a high competive atmosphere but a good natured day of shooting. The actual event really depends on who is running the event that year as it moves around the province. I have always enjoyed myself at these events.

It was 2004 and yes by rant it was not a positive experience. There were a few bright spots in the endeavor but if asked to run it again I would run faster than you could imagine.

You're just saying that 'cause you didn't win any medals...:D

I've hit every OLEAA CLEFG since 2000... 'Will be at this one too.

The shoots held at EESA in '04 were not OLEAA/CLEFG
That was the CANAM Police/Fire Games

Make sure you're sure of whom you're ranting against before you start...

The OLEAA/CLEFG shooting has been held primarily on CFB ranges... I do recall some PPC being shot at BRRC back when the city of Hamilton/HWRP hosted, but usually it's been at CFB Borden with the Intl. games at Connaught when the city of Ottawa hosted.
My favorite place for this match is the MilCun facility were the shoots were held in '07 and '08..

Sounds good.. meeting new people shooting and hanging out. A day at the range is always a good day.

sniper rifle at 300?

maybe to start!

anah i bring it up to my peers .........

looks like a good beginner comp

I think nscc and cfsac are better though

That's what we shot when the match was held on DND ranges:D

It's primarily an LE shoot so the "sniper" portion has been pared down to 100yrds in the past few years...

I understand this years is supposed to be at about 100 yards or so. Not really "sniperesque"... but as my friends tell me, civillian police do not have "snipers", they have "sharp shooters".

Still sounds like a good time. Even a day on the range with the police is still a good day in my books;):D

It's been 100 yrds and down for the last couple of years... Doesn't take away from the challenge as you'll be placed under some stress while trying to make your shots... :runaway:

what glass /scope you using ?

also using a float tube/bipod?

It is a 16" LMT 1/7 twist wearing a Falcon Menace 1.5 -5, with no bi-pod (yet, considering it though) and will be shooting PMC ammo. Now obviously this is not a precision rig but at a 100m it should be fine :D and if not, well then I had some fun with my favourite rifle :dancingbanana:

This rifle and ammo combination with me behind the trigger averages a 2.5 inch group at a 100m, not spectacular but, good enough for this shoot I think.
