I assume this is a good product? I've never used it before.

I've used it on rifles I'd previously cleaned with standard Hoppes #9. Amazing the stuff that came out after I left WipeOut in overnight. Mind you, in fairness, standard Hoppes wasn't designed to remove copper fouling.
