Have wanted to purchase a P99 and am looking for some input regarding value, dependabliity vs cost? Own a Norinco 1911C, love it apart form some after market mag issues, and Had a Sig 226 but in a moment of weakness sold it(I know don't even go there...:( ) So any thoughts guy and gals?

The SA version has three distinct trigger pulls

Long Heavy DA pull: rack slide, decock, about 10lbs when broken in, very smooth and lighter than Beretta or Sig.

Long SA Pull: rack slide: don't decock, light takeup till it hits a point where you hear a click as it locks into short SA. If you let go it stays in short SA mode.

Short SA Pull: either after a shot or preset from long SA, very short and light with a resent shorted than many 1911's. Excellent trigger.

The gun itself fits my hand nicely and is one of the most accurate guns I've ever fired...I attribute this to excellent hand fit. Some reports from ranges comment on parts fragility on this gun.

I got the P99 Titanium slide and it is the best handgun in my opinion. Super accurate with remington bulk jhp 115 gr bullets. :D

Experiment with the grip inserts, with the right insert the P99 locks into your hand. I never noticed the snappiness, however I shoot with a pronounced weight forward stance which does control recoil better.
