We finally had a nice afternoon for some long range here in Sask so we decided to stretch out my buddy’s 700P 300 RUM. We used the nightfoce exball program and I was amazed. Input all the data and from 100 yard zero it said up 5 MOA for 400. Adjusted the scope pulled the trigger and hit the 10 inch gong. Second shot same thing. 400 is good but not that good so we tried the 16 inch gong at 725. Program says 14.25 MOA from 100 yard (107.6” drop). Buddy sets up and I am looking through my spotting scope. He pulls the trigger and is dead on elevation but two inches left. Three clicks to the right and fired two more shots. We drove up to the gong to find a 5” 2 shot group ( we were running out of light by now). I was not the trigger man but was just as happy as he was. I can say we are all now addicted. We are going to set up for 1000 in two weeks. And by then should have my XCR Tactical Long range 300 WM rigged up to double the fun.

Congrats on your success. LR shooting is simply way too much fun.

Enjoy the load work ups and tuning to get everything dialed in.

Best part will be ranging, dialing up, doping, and squeezing off for a first rd hit a long ways out. That'll put a smile on your face....

All that is fun, but nothing makes a bigger smile then touching off the trigger, taking off the muffs, and THEN hearing the 'hhhwhack".

Or you could just wear electronic muffs and save having to whip them off while you watch your shot hit the gong in your spotter instead

Exball can be used on a Blackberry I think. I used to take the laptop out target shooting until I got an Iphone. I have been using bulletflight and Isnipe on the Iphone.

It is cheaper. I think it is 15 bucks or something. I like BulletFlight better myself. I still use exball quite a bit on the computer to compare calibers and bullets and see what a couple FPS will gain a person.
