Poor Old Thomas did not! Being keyboard impared lets just say one F of a morning. Called 3 mature toms, two jakes a single jake who came back twice. 4 jakes chased of the first tom that was coming in. Big tom came across a valley to show up behind me and got nervous while I tried to turn a put the bead on him and finally a 22lber came in with a hen in tow. Dang nice morning after 3 mornings with novice hunters with new calls:mad::mad::mad: wood cutters and corn planters. Knocked the tom off his feet and it was a good thing because when I went to load up i had only one round in my pocket. Used a glass over slate pot for part of the hunt but my Butternut longbox was the one for today. Great day!!

Nice bird Grnhawg! Your having better luck than I ;-|. Saw a big tom with 5 hens on Sunday morning. Hens dragged him away. I'll have to try again later in the week.

Hi Grnhawg,

Real nice bird. Bet it tastes good too. I have a question for you. If you dont mind sharing, what is your shotgun set-up and what was your ammo choice. I new to the forum and kind of new to shotguns like yours.
Thanks in advance.

It's beat up old Mossberg 500 that I swapped an air nailer for. The barrel is one I swapped Doug #45 and I think either #44 or #46 for. Choke is an Undertaker .660. Loads were Federal Flite Control #6. Paint by grnhawg. Calls by grnhawg
