So I was at the gun shop today and a Knickerbocker SXS 12 gauge 2 3/4 double trigger full and modified followed me home. It is in real good shape. I have never seen or heard tell of them before can annyone tell me annything abought this gun or the comptany? or when it might have been made? I can't put anny picture's on right now. It has American Gun Co New York on the right side of the reciver and just Knickerbocker on the left.

Google Knickerbocker or American Gun Co. and you should get all the info you want. Like the Ithaca/LeFever "Nitro Special" I recently obtained the Knickerbocker was a solid, inexpensive boxlock with extractors and double triggers in at least 12 and 20 ga. My late uncle had a 20 down on the farm but I missed a chance to nab it, regrettably. Most such guns were made prior to WW II and were not revived afterward, probably due to the cost of hand labour and prevalence of mass-produced repeaters like the Win Model 12, Browning Auto 5, etc. Have fun shooting it!
