I am looking at purchasing a Zigana Sport from Marstar when they get a new supply. This is a vented port 9mm. I have enclosed a photo and description. I am looking for opinions. Price is $600.00

New: ZIGANA SPORT
The latest in hi-tec pistol: The Zigana Sport features a ported slide and barrel. Made in Turkey by Tisas.

there's another string on the Zigana where I asked how the accuracy and trigger pull was. Answer was trigger pull a little firm for him and if you could shoot accurately with other pistols you should be able to with this.
As for the remark about service and parts, I heard the same negative views when the CZ75 started showing up on the market.

Why is it that when a person asks for some opinions on a handgun all you get is a lot of smartass replies. I can actually affort this handgun and not a Glock or Smith and Wesson and that is why I am looking at it. Cripes guys, I wanted to know something constructive about it. Thanks gatekeyper for some actual information.

Marstar lists an uncompensated model that would allow you to play IDPA. Not sure if the gun is listed as one that is approved for IPSC Production. Without a compensator it should work there to if it is on the list. Like I said earlier getting a holster might be difficult.

Sorry, I couldn't restrain myself from the Lego comment. I can't constructively comment on it but in the past 10 years I haven't really seen a "bad" gun come out. It's just that some are more suitable for one task better than others.

I'm sure this one will be fine.

You posted the question, you're going to get all sorts of responses. For the record, there's only one and not "lots" of what could be considered "smartass" replies.

If you can afford $600 for this, you can afford $650 for a new Glock or M&P.

Why would getting a holster be difficult? Looks like an ordinary handgun to me.

By holster, Bob meant "decent holster". It's easy to get an Uncle Mike's nylon rig to fit any gun, but they're not very good, especially for something like IDPA or IPSC.

Relax Denn...when you ask for an opinions, be prepair you will get some pros and cons, I guess people just try to help since you are on a budget. I also quite interesting on this gun but Marstar may only bring in one shipment because they don't really sell hot. Some people including myself always looking for the warranty and parts before buy a gun. Check with Marstar about the next shipment and how the warranty work in Canada before you jump in the pool. It may be inexpensive at the very beginning but you may end up disppointed. I haven't hear any bad review about this gun yet as they are not quite common in the State as well. There are some other choice below $600 such as Ruger SR-9, have you ever take a look at them?

Stevo rightly corrected what I meant to say regarding a holster.

If I were you I would watch the EE forum. There are buys out there and if you are on a budget you might as well take advantage of them. Any mainstream gun like a Glock 17 or M&P 9MM are good guns used or new. The CZ75B sreies is another excellent choice. These guns will lst a lifetime with proper care and if a part breaks you can always get the gun fixed. Break an extractor on the Ziganna a year from now and you could have 35+ oz of paperweight on your hands.
