Hello all,

I'm a super newbie at all of this gun stuff. Been to a few local indoor ranges and love it so much I decided it was time to make it a hobby. going to write my firearms exam tomorrow and the next one a few weeks later (p&d only offers one course every weekend.)

Basiclly im a AR guy and a 2011 guy. So i'll be searching the forums for info on both. :)

How do I see the equipment exchange!

Thanks
Blair

The original 1911 is still the one to beat

Welcome to the forum

Chances are it will be a 1911 to start with... Went and priced out the one I want and I think the lady will use it on me if I buy it. lol

which leads me to another question. Am I better buying 2 different pistols at 1000 each or one for 2000? Or does it depend on the person?

I did however see a nice 870 shotgun at p&d I want.:dancingbanana:

Ah yes... that is the eternal question with no answer, constantly asked over and over in the forums here.

I do believe the correct answer to that question is: "7". ;)

Welcome to the insanity!

So another question.. when picking a handgun how does one pick what size ammo they shoudl go with?

I would go with the one that allows you to shoot the most: read- if you have lots to spend go with 45 or 40, but if you're on a strict budget think about .22LR or 9mm.
