are a reproduction scope, mount, and the labour to fit them to a 91/30 worth $600?

+1 yes you save a lot of grief and running around it will be cheaper at the end, Unless you have a special rifle that you absolutely need to scope.

The whole package already complete with sling, mag pouches, bayonet scope caps, Cleaning kit, canvas scope cover, delivered to your door is $900 "TOPS"

Anything more is nuts. Right now $750 is the base price.

nice, are we taling MOA? how are these to shoot? i see the scope is set quite high. are these random rifles setup with repro scopes or are they original snipers with repro mounts and scopes?

No kidding. If you take the gun and parts to a smith, there is a reasonable chance you will get back a pile of unsellable crap. Either way, it will likely cost more then 750 when you are done.

The rifles mr leg are talking about are nicely done, and although I have not shot one, that is where my $ would go if I did not have the real thing.

I get similar experiences as Speckfire with my wartime made PU sniper. Don't get me wrong, it took some getting used to to use a scope that high, and with the crosshairs off center, and less clear then a modern scope. I have shot 10 shot groups with it that rival my precision rig at 200m though. Obviously means that I am the limiter on both rifles.

I bought mt 91/30 for $130. Scope, mount, rail, caps, canvas cover, drill bits, taps, and screws as a package on ebay for about $280, and the bent bolt handle for $50 also from ebay.

I built my repo for less than $500 but I did it all my self. If you don't think you can drill/tap the receiver or cut the stock right than just buy it complete.

for sure. I saw a couple of 91/31 with repro mounts and scopes for $700 or so.

Are the repro scopes as good as the originals? I assume they still use the BDC turret?
