It's entirely possible I'm looking into this too much but is this normal for Glocks? I found the pictures looked weird so I drew these straight lines over the pictures. It looks like the front of the frame is flexing upwards?

Thanks in advance :D

I thought this was weird too, I can see through my glock inbetween the slide and the top of the frame (almost directly about the trigger), I figured it was just normal though.

If this is a concern to you, have a friend load the gun and point it at your head. Then he/she should pull the trigger. If this flex causes the gun to misfire, return it at once!:D

Disclaimer: This post is motivated by the knowledge that Glock pistols have a gap between the frame and slide that does not affect it's function and so many people are worried about it but the gun still functions so by no means do I wish anyone to point a loaded Glock at anyone else unless in self defence.

Ummm, you might want to attach a disclaimer to this, some people might not understand your :phumour.

You can actually bend the front of the dust cover between thumb and index fingers.

And the guide rod's soft and wobbly.

All elements of the sheer genius of the whole.

I won't say it is normal as I've seen some Glocks are not like that althought mine also bended a little at the front. It wont affect the function but it does make the so call perfection become NOT SO PERFECT. Anyhow you won't see this happening no the other plastic guns.

Ok I'm looking too much into this :D
I knew about the slide gap but I was wondering what was happening with the front of the frame...

Well thank goodness you noticed that. The retards in Austria have some splaining to do.

Stop cleaning it in the dishwasher, the hot water will bend it when it's propped up beside the latte mug. :D Oh and make sure the Jet Dry is topped up otherwise you will have unsightly powder streaks on it.:D

It's part of the way it was engineered, thats wqhy some people have reported problems with Light attachedments in the lower rail who is too heavy or stiff and can cause misfire or FTF at times...rare but it happens.

that is why some people have reported problems with Light attachements in the lower rail who is too heavy or stiff and can cause misfire or FTF at times if it impeeds on the flexing...rare but it happens.

Believe it or not...

I've owned a few Glocks with that "curve" and I found that if I ran HOT TAP WATER over that portion of the frame for a minute... it got straighter afterward.

Give it a try :)

Hanging "stuff" on the front of pistols is generally lame anyway... :p
