Just a reminder for everyone, IDPA is starting up again in Fort St John as of Tuesday May 12th, 2009.

we shoot from 6pm to 8:50pm, these are just practice nights and we encourage everybody to come out and shoot, have some fun and use your pistol for what it was made for ;)

We shoot EVERY tuesday night thru the summer and fall till October.

club membership is required or you will have to pay the range fee.... the club is north peace rod and gun and its web site with directions is located at www.nprg.ca

any problems finding the place or if you have any questions feel free to PM me and I can help you out, if you want to come out and giveit a try but do not own a pistol a loaner can be arranged.

we are all about fun, so come out and giveit a try, if your concerned shoot me a PM and I can send you a couple videos that give tipsand such on the sport and will give you an idea of what your getting into.
 
drop in fee for non members is $15... a yearly membership is only $75.

we have a waiver from the Board of Directors that allows guests to come out and give it a try free for one visit, after the one visit we have to charge the range fee... so come on out :)

you would still have to sign in at the range operators house when entering the property, that way our insurance covers you as a visitor., just mention my name and say that your a first time visitor.

Newbies,
if you do not have a holster for your gun that is fine as well, you can start with the gun in hand to shoot, or if your not comfortable with a holster just yet you could also start with gun in hand.

once you try the sport you can get geared up. :)

Just as an example we are going to have for our first stage a fairly easy warm up since most of the guys have not shot all winter, 5 targets spaced one meter apart at the 10m line.... two shoots to each body then a shot to the head. I am going with that for a softball stage since you get to draw the gun, perform a reload from either slide lock or reload with retention.... (shooters choice).

simple and yet you get some of the basics of the sport....

Really.......? Well come on by our place and shoot indoors all year Wes, heated in the winter (range too) and a nice air conditioned lounge in the summer for those hot summer nights with lots of cold drinks.
 
MAY 12th IDPA NIGHT IS CANCELLED....

we had 5 inches of snow over night and it looks ugly outside..... -4*C and the roads look like death.

Sorry guys, try again next week.
