1911 tests - enough to make TDC's head explode.

The benefits of having access to the internet at work and at home 24h if this is the case, I would like to add that I've been a member of CGN far longer than you & your buddy.

It's OK, Westicle already posted a WAY BETTER COMEBACK for you.

Again, somehow you believe that being a member "longer" means anything?? I don't really care how long anyone has been a member. Some folks with less than double digit posts have posted some great stuff. Others in the 4 digit region haven't posted anything intelligent yet.

You are either braver than most or ill informed. I wouldn't carry either but would err on the side of the Kahr over anything offered by Ruger. I do remember a recall of their latest wiz bang pistol?? Oh, and what is with the "I have owned" you don't own a Ruger anymore, why not?

TDC

Further, I think there were major safety recalls on two of the latest Ruger and Kahr pistols?

I don't own a ruger at the moment because I sold them to buy my truck and have not replaced them as of yet.... if you check the pistol exchange forum though I have a WTB posted for them, looking for a KCp89DC and a KCp90DC

you quote tactics and such and mas ayoob has been quoted here, his duty weapon was a KP90DC ruger for years, I am not even sure that he is not still issued it.... I have never had a failure with any of my ruger except my 22/45 and that was more ammo related.

You should see my rack of medals....I know more than you!!!

What is funny is that he thinks having more POSTS on the internet COUNTS, but in criticizing TDC he basically said that TDC having MORE HOURS of PROFESSIONAL TRAINING was irrelevant IIRC.

Talk about waiving the Keyboard Commando Flag.

Westicle, you should make him a special picture.

Fair enough, a guy has to have a ride. Mas Ayoob is not the credible individual many believe him to be. Regardless, he carries a Glock now..

Except for paraphrasing yourself & cut and pasting on Ar15.com I have yet to see any sanity on your response...also, you like to write looonng pooooosts so you can sound smarter but in reality you ain't! It's been seen in the past.

Duty weapon implies he didn't have a choice though.

Back to the question:

If you only had 500 bucks and had to go to war, US Bucks, US stores. What would you buy?

Why is Mas not credible?

Interesting! Careful now, I will ask him about it at dinner at NTI.

You are right, I AIN'T. Sorry, are long posts a problem for you like multiple syllables are?

Cut and pasting on AR15? I'm not on AR15. Do tell.

I'm not a member of Ar15.com so I'm not sure where that comment came from? My posts are full of sanity and a healthy dose of reality as well. Feel free to debate the tactics I've posted, you'd be the first. OH, sorry third, USP and beltfed both engaged in intelligent discussion.

A long post shows I understand the topic and am capable of articulating my point(s). Should I break it down to pictures or just point form so you can follow along?

when you have as many hours in a court room testifying for LEO And Civilians that have used thier firearm in a defensive nature then you may get some credibility.....

Mas is not the end all be all.... but he has set the standard for CCW training in the USA for the last 25 years, have you even been alive that long ?

edited to add: if anyone has a masters degree of CCW and self defense I believe Mas Ayoob would be the first and foremost expert on the topic. the guy is a scholar on the subject.

actually your math would be wrong, 5y has only been on the board for 1.5 years, AB69 has been on the board for ?4 years? so it would work out to just about equal posts per day....

actually I just looked, 5y has 2.80 posts per day and AB69 has 3.22 ..... so statistically they are equal.

Not equal. But that was still and awesome post.

You wouldn't accept it so looked up different numbers. ;)

Back to the question:

my first question would be who I was going to war with and what their issued sidearm is.... then I would pick that, they have a supply chain of ammunition and a ready supply of both armorers and spare parts. ;) ;)

so if i was goign to war with the US army I would pick the beretta M9.... or if I was deployed with a SF group I would take a 1911.... if canadian then a sig p225 or the old browning hipower ;)

that answer your question ?

His knowledge on personal defense and his ability to support it in court is impeccable. Two of the instructors I received training from at Sig Arms Academy openly discussed Ayoobs drunken attendance at a fallen officers charity shoot some years ago. Another friend of mine took some H to H training with Ayoob and he refused to remove all weapons(live blade and guns) before training.

+1

One of many though.

If you were going to war, why are you relying on a sidearm??
