Here is the recovered bullet. It is perfectly expanded, and looks like it came through very well. Maximum diameter is now 0.925. That's very good expansion I would say.
So we'll see a 9.3 in the EE soon?

I thought the fusions were an extreme rapid expansion deer round? You sure it will hold up to the heavier moose bones?

All i ever used on moose was core lokts and they have worked without any problems out of the 300 win mag all complete pass threws with excellent internal damage, also my father shoots them out of his 7mm mag and has the same effect. So i would imagine the fusion would work just as well.

think Accubond or Interbond but without the plastic tip. They seem to hold together real well

Funny, their website seems to market them exclusively for deer hunters. I hammered a big doe with one last year, and certainly have no complaints!

All I know is they shoot very well in my gun, and I have absolutely no complaints about their performance. They are a very good bullet for the money
Cool test! Might have to do someting similar, compare the federal to the win mag perhaps.
As far as the fusion goes, a gal i was hunting with last fall hit a big cow elk through the boiler room with a fusion load in a 270 (not sure of the weight), at about 100 yds. The bullet busted a rib and headed right through, never recovered it.
