Glock = suck

I was at the range today & ran into the Fitzgerald boys. They are the alter boys at my local church. They started shooting 1911's as well. When I inquired about why they weren't shooting their Glock's anymore? They stated that since Father O'Malley left the church they had to many FTF & FTE when they went shooting after the Sermon. Limp wristing they said & for whatever reason they just couldn't get over it... On a good note though, both their cases of touncilitis cleared up real well...

This is a shooter problem.
Dont limpwrist it bud.
Also you may want to replace the spring with a stiffer one.
I'm not a glock fan, but that's just me. I shot every glock model out there, and they were all reliable and fairly accurate.
Now ergonimics...that's a different issue.

I bought my first Glock about a month ago, a Glock 30 from Questar. It's one of those sub-compact pistols with the longer barrel for Canada, I went with the ported one.

Today a friend and I went out and did some shooting with it. I am thoroughly unimpressed. The pistol likes to eject the rounds onto your head, if not in your face. They don't eject with authority, just kind of tumble out. You also can't manipulate the slide stop with your shooting hand, it is too stiff. It isn't easy to move with your weak side hand either! I think it will loosen up but it is ridiculously hard to move.

It's cheap, I just feels like a garbage gun. At this point the only thing this gun has going for it is being small. That and you can't get them anymore, apparently. This is my first and last Glock.

Kinda sucks to have a gun you do not like. Maybe you are having issues with the aftermarket barrel?? Maybe fitting issues that are causing these problems This is the first I heard of such problems with this model. You got to have it checked out by a Glock armourer. Send the bill to the Liberal party for introducing such a stupid law that got us butchering all these sub compact guns. good luck...

LOL You just told everyone you have "LIMP WRISTS" !!! Its a common problem for beginners.

ask the guy next to you (who look strong) and i bet it goes to the right like it should.

Sorry, But i am gonna call this poor performance " user error" :D:D
Yeah, I'm a first time gun owner and don't know how to shoot a pistol.
I guess all my other semi-autos are just underpowered.

It's me being weak. Same with my friend who is in the CF, he is also too weak to shoot the almighty Glock!

I bought this pistol as a novelty, a collector piece, so I'm really not too terribly upset that is shoots like a geriatric homosexual. All it did was reaffirm my initial view of Glocks. They are over hyped garbage.

I'm thinking it might be a barrel issue. When you rack the slide, there is a point after the barrel drops out of battery that the slide hits a hard spot. I think something is jamming up. This would likely soak up a lot of the recoil and cause "limp wristing" issues.

The glock lovers always blame limp wristing and explain that glocks are affordable, reliable, work right out of the box for 600 bucks and are used by cops worldwide. Then they tell you switch out the spring, get the trigger fixed, put some decent sights on it, get the extended mag release, buy a new grip..........and on it goes.

I think they just miss their Holy fathers love. When he returns I'm sure the strength in their wrists will as well... Although their buttocks may tighten just slightly.

I still say Armedsask is trollin... but... Everyone's in entitled to their opinion. I just can't believe this thread is still alive & re-hatched about once a month. Still fun though... Just a slow day I guess...

Not real familiar with the Glock product line, are you?
of course i am. never read the entire post or anything from a glock owner whos fingers dangle so they need extended mags? or the slip on grips cus the stock is slippery or they want one before the finger grooves or without the finger grooves. Its got a perfect grip, so perfect in fact that they never leave it alone.

Fair enough. I thought you were talking about some sort of interchangeable grip panel for Glocks, which obviously doesn't exist.

BTW. I like standard Glock frames. I don't need some cheese ball slip on grip for anything I own.

I've never heard of a cheering squad on the heavier caliber ones, except the Glock Fooortey (Cops)..Glock 17 & 19 are flawless when it comes to performance, not saying they were the most consistent outhere.

If you go for .45 get a 1911 :)

Have to agree 100% G17/19 are awesome. Would never buy a .40 though, and would go 1911 in 45 - if I could only have one...

Is that Nico Toscani in your avatar? Seagal is a douche.... ;)

I've had both a Glock 17 and a 19: I eventually sold both of them...

... not because they're bad firearms, but rather because I don't like the grip angle. The Glocks I had were fully functional, so I can't give them negative reviews.

Steven Seagal of course, a big fan & avid collector of 1911 .45's

I honestly think its legit. When you're used to firing a full-size handgun, its hard to re-train yourself to in order to get a sufficient grip - especially if you have large hands. I'm going to try the higher grip next time I go to the range.

The original post was all legitimate issue I'm having with a new pistol.

However, I was well aware the firestorm it would ignite, and I'm sure that did motivate me a little bit to make the post. It is highly entertaining.
