I just bought a Ruger in 375 ruger. Would like to hear what you have for reloading info. I am thinking of the 260gr Accubonds or the Barns 270gr tsx.
In attempting to get the velocity with we wanted (2700 fps) from 260 gr ABs in my pal's .375 Ruger Alaskan, I didn't have much success with H-4350 and Winchester 760 was equally disappointing producing a velocity of 2600 before high pressure was observed. We then tried Re-19 and 90 grs broke 2800 fps, but required a drop tube which I have little patience for. The 89 grs load made the target velocity all right, but still required a drop tube. Finally I ordered some Hybrid 100V and liked it so much it has become my go to powder, not only in the Ruger, but also for my .375 Ultra and the .30/06. We settled on 86.0 grs of Hybrid 100V which drove the 260 gr AB at 2734 (5 degrees C, at sea level) and it did not require a drop tube to charge the cases. Accuracy was .75 MOA for 3 shots from prone.
