Anyone have some info on these? I did try and search but we all know what its like to search with "1911" in the title. lol

I'm digin the Sig 1911 "blackwater". Just would like to know where I can find it and some info on them. Yes I have contacted one of the vedors on here. :)

***Yes I know not everyone likes blackwater so if you dont have a comment on the gun please keep it to your self. Or pm me.***

thanks!

actually searching 1911 gives you a handfull of results...
you have to set the time to messages posted in the last 36 months (or older, no further time shows up on my comp)

you should post this into the pistol and revolver section by the way

The Black Water 1911 is relatively new product. I think it might be easier to go to sigforum.com to find more info on it as the US gets these products faster then we do in Canada.

Hahaha...it's going to be a historical piece if it ever hits Canadian soil. ...By then maybe SigArms will be selling the 'Xe' model.

Back on topic....the SigArms 1911s are pretty low in numbers in Canada. TSE sells them as probably others but TSE came to mind first. Back when SigArms started introducing the GSR and whatever model 1911s, they had some spotty QC and were basically contracted 1911s made with some 'SIG' cosmetic features.

Haven't seen any of the new ones(see....scarce) and they seem quite pricey considering the huge market competition for quality 1911s....STI, RRA, S&W, etc etc etc

So really im better off spending a bit more for a STI?

I have a Sig 1911GSR and I don't know of any QC issues you people are talking about. It's working flawlessly and I couldn't be happier. I bought mine off Questar

Sig 1911

'Bout the only Sig I'd consider.

Good call. Questar skipped my mind. I'm glad yours is great. I'm not trying to suggest that they were necessarily problematic but some of the first 1911s had some fit issues(ie not functional per se) for the money people spent on them.

I wouldn't be surprised if they are all cleared up and good to go now. (SIG name and reputation on line)

As one can see, Questar's pricing isn't bad...but there is a lot of very good competition out there for that kind of 1911 money.
