I was interested in starting IPSC this summer but looking on STI's website, it seems my STI Spartan is not approved for IPSC
I've read the IPSC rules and it doesn't look like it wouldn't be an IPSC candidate. Maybe it just isn't suitable for production division?
Enlighten me please

There's no reason you can'y be fairly competitive with the .45. It's not going to win, but it will hold up fairly well. I placed third in a level II with a box stock Kimber Custom II...no mag well...and basic holster and pouches. It's fun to shoot and you'll have a great time with it.
Over the years, a number of changes have been made to the IPSC rules to accommodate emerging [IPSC] countries. Why then can there not be changes made to accommodate Canada and The U.S. of A.?? Would the creation of a ‘Single Stack 10’ division in IPSC have a detrimental impact on any of the other 63 participating countries?? I think not; it would give everyone more choices. I don’t believe ‘we are not USPSA’ is a good enough reason to not have such a division.
