Norinco M4

Excellent Stevo. I will have a look. I think Millet is a good name brand. I visited the optometrist the other day and he said my eyes were fine. Maybe my bifocal lenses are screwing me up or I am just a crappy shot.

Mine has a DMS on it (one of these days I'll get to the range to shoot it - honest) nice scope, bright and clear and very good illumination of the reticle. The Armalite mount I'm using is a little lower than ideal but still usable. The only hitch is that once you have this stuff mounted, it's a heavy little sucker.

Thanks Stevo. Probably a pretty common excuse. I looked at the Millet scope. Nice. A little heavy at 1 pound but it should be O.K. on the handle of the M4. What is the eye relief. I don't recall seeing that spec. I assume 3".

Why in the world would you mount a scope on the carrying handle, when you have the option of using the flattop receiver?

You've got a point. But if I use the flat top, wouldn't I have to get a riser mount for the scope anyway? I just like the looks of the carry handle anyway. Just a preference.

Use the flat top and whatever height rings you need or a one piece mount like Armalite sells. On top of the carry handle will be much higher than tall rings.

Good point. Forgot that there would also be rings on top of the carry handle.(duh) That would make for a bad cheek weld. Thanks.

Well I decided to try the AR Koolaid and paid for a CQB yesterday, now must wait for CFO to approve the transfer. To bad it can't be Non-restricted....sigh

I think you'll like it a lot. Yea. It's a black rfle that will accet the LAR15 magazines so it's restricted. Have fun. Mine works just great. Now if the weather would improve I could go out to the range and finish sighting in my reflex sight.

Damm!!! Lever called today, said the CFO approved the sale and the ATT is ready. I didn't bring a case or trigger lock to work , didn't think the paperwork would flow so fast! I will pick it up after work on Friday!

The folks at the BC CFO are, to be fair, really very fast at transfers, on Tuesday I bought a pistol at 4:30, by 1:00 yesterday the transfer was approved and PPW issued. If the whole system worked as well as transfers in BC, we'd have nothing to complain about.

bc is fast , my last one was started at like 10 am by 3pm it was approved

I was at the Fort McMurray Gun show this afternoon and they had the Norinco M4 and the Imperial Defense M4 there. I actually thought the finish excluding the carry handle on the Norinco to be superior but in overall quality after taking a good look over each they are nothing to get excited about. I will stick with the American Manufacturers.

Got my new toy, quite happy with it, I must say the instructions are a far improvement over previous Norinco ones I have seen, although the language is pretty funny and you are left with no doubts as to the intended purpose of this rifle by the first page. The finish is really bad....I think when the wife stops complaining i will get it duracoated. I got in supreme #### today about buying another gun, she is not anti-gun, just anti-spending. Will try her out tomorrow. I tried putting my red dot on, but the front sight blocks it, what have other doen about this?

is there any paint on the barrel&upper receiver? I spent more than 2 hours to strip the paint. It does need duracoat. :)

You may need a riser rail if you are using it flat top. Marstar has lots of add-ons. Nice thing about AR15 rifles and clones is that there are lots of parts for them. Happy shooting!!:)

I'll buy from China before I'll buy from the UK.
