what do you guys do with the empty czech wooden ammo crates ?

i got an idea of making a coffee table for my gun room, any other suggestion?

I give them away to shooting buddies.

What the hell do you do with your strippers? I've got about 40 pounds of them now.

Send them to friends down south, stripper clips cost money down there. It's not hard to find friends in need who are willing to trade various things of equal value.

Before the usual suspects start furiously internetting about how illegal that is, IT'S NOT! I send my used clips to a buddy in Louisianna without any issues, yes the package is properly labelled, the gestapo have yet to come cavity search me.

As for the crates, I use the empties to store other ammo, parts, and small gear. I dig the coffee table idea!

Never thought of that and I do know some folks there.

4 crates and a sheet of thick glass makes a great coffee table. Or you can do 2 end tables out of the same materials. My kids are tired of their Lego smelling like Czech grease and galvanized steel.

I've bought stripper clips (and other accessories) from a yank off eBay once. Didn't seem to be any trouble getting them through customs, since they weren't any actual munition parts.

I'll probably be keeping one crate, but all others I'll ditch. I still have quite a few NATO ammo cans I "acquired" through the service. They're sufficient enough for collecting dust.

i keep reloading stuff in them. plus there is always small stuff in the garage that needs a home; nails, screws, etc.

true. i talked to people down there and they cant get the stripper clips.

I actually just drilled a hole big enough for the trigger lock to go right through, it works fine like that!

i think i saw that . its the one with half of the trigger lock glued inside , yeah it looks good but i decided i want to be able to use both the trigger lock and reg lock .

Great idea! Thanks for sharing!

ya welcome.

the ring and nut is from homedept $.42 , i added a washer and then regular solder the nut to the ring so it wont come off .
