Does anyone in Kanada sell a custom 10/22 frame/ action :?: I was thinking if I was to start a second build for a 10/22 why buy a retail gun then end up selling all the parts because I don't need all this junk. It's a waste of cash. I'm finding that with buying a barrel, stock, custom trigger group, why buy the whole gun....

Ditto to that. The more pics I see, the more I want to grab a 10/22 and take it from practical to tactical. But I agree, it's a huge waste of dough to have to gut a rifle only to spend more on a second stock, barrel, internals, etc.

Am I stuck buying a complete rifle?

Yes - you're stuck buying a new rifle.

Volquartsen used to (or maybe still does) make CNC receivers, but you'd have to import them, and it would end up costing WAAAAY more than just a bare bones 10/22 anyway.

You COULD buy the 10/22T and be half way there... as long as you're not looking to build a 'tac' model.

I would recommend trying to find a used 10/22 to save on the cost of the donor gun. Besides, the new ones have a plastic trigger group.

for what things sell for on EE you could buy a new one for $279. I was thinking of selling my trigger group but if the new ones are plastic maybe I should keep mine. I was thinking of buying a Jerd or Kidd trigger group.

no complaints on it works fine for me... now the stock hammer means you have to get hammer bushins so thats another part to buy..

I'm sure the plastic trigger groups work OK, it's just that they look and feel cheap and nasty.

I have the CNC plans to build 10/22 receivers but I legally can't do so until I get the licencing. I have considered it but I have too many other projects on the go to afford it.
