Hey guys im a newbie who just got his PAL and im looking at what to buy. I was thinking of going with the Sig mosquito as a starter handgun. Ive read some good reviews and some bad reviews so im hoping someone here can give me the final verdict.
Its A Siga bit of moly on moving parts, maybe a light polish of the rough spots on the ramp, if any, and go shoot a million rounds, the extended lug model is sweet. these guns fit small hands well, but its fine for harger also.
Regarding your statement; is it necessary to use CCI mini mag for reliable funtion? Or will federal bulk packs work? I have read a lot of varying opinions on the web and it is hard to decide if it is a bad gun or stupid users... I am starting to think 50/50.
I would recommend buying a quality .22 pistol instead. The Ruger Mk II/II and the Browning Buckmark both have a pretty good reputation.
The SIG Mosquito, like the Walther P99, is a pot metal POS. If you want a .22 that looks more like a centrefire pistol, better choices would be a CZ Kadet, Kimber 1911, or the .22 version of the P226.
