I just bought a pair, what does that make me? :puke:

Holy s**t did the quality drop big time. Rough machining, plastic barrel bands and I think even plastic triggers. (I have to rip them apart still) All I can say is wow.

Before you ask, I bought one for the Wife and another just because. :p

By the way, this means I can really rip into you guys for owning these monstrosities. :D

Yup...you got 2 of the cheap ones.:kickInTheNuts:
Should have saved your money and bought a classic one made of metal.
Now we can tear into you for getting ripped off. :D :p :D

Welcome to the sickness club Pharaoh

(P.S. wanna buy a folding stock to start off....hahahahahahaha)

I don't know what to say. I have a stainless carbine, it works great.

Sell it I guess? Buy a Savage, Remington, CZ and be done with it.
I suggest you don't though, they are great little rifles. :)

Well, my trigger is made of metal and its still s**t. I have thought a lot about ditching the barrel band as well (the jury is still out on its effects on accuracy)

The trigger will be upgraded to a nicer one, eventually.

It's not my first, the one I had years ago was a pile of junk too. But I don't see the price getting any cheaper, so I figure what the Hell.

Huh??

Pharaoh my good man....That Alberta thin mountain air is really starting to take effect.

Go east young man...go east. :runaway:

Well here they are in all their plastic glory.

And yeah, the triggers themselves are plastic. As is the trigger group. The barrels are extremely stiff in the action, not like my old one that just popped out. But the bolt slides the same and I hope they are reliable. Truth be told, I don't plan on shooting mine very often. But the Wife has been playing with hers, and she seems to prefer this idea over the bolt action Savage she's been shooting. It's nice to be married to someone who humours me every now and then. :D

Nowadays, even expensive rimfire like browning T-bolt ($700) has the plastic trigger guard and fancy golden plastic trigger.

Those are nice looking rifles. Looks better than the wood stock.

I just bought a plain jane just like that a few weeks ago, so called blued, with plastic furnature, I knew what to expect, the added plastic. But dammit they are still fun guns. Straight outa the Box, To the dremel for auto bolt release, and sear work, Then to the range with some buttler creeks and 4 boxes of 333....And it Ran flawless, actually the best outa the box 10/22 ive Had.. Ive had a few that were utter garbage, Needed better extractor, always FTF Etc

Glad to hear it worked out for you. I want the Wifes gun to work flawless for her, and that's why I decided (sigh) on the Ruger. I think it'll probably run the best out of all the (limited) choices I had. I called around asking for several models in different trims over the phone. Truth be told I wanted stainless, but these were my only real choice, and I didn't have the time to wait for an order to come in.

Oh man you dont want the "New stainless version. First spray of Gun scrubber on the reciver or trigger group and it will be all sticky and blotchy...

They are painted now.....And the paint does not stand up to any kind of gun scrubber, brake cleaner etc

Probably the biggest reason I got rid of my T-bolt. I do regret it now though, I acted too hastily and miss the little popper. I know the trigger on it would never break, I just felt violated by the thought of it. :(

They do look good in the box Pharaoh!
Just have fun and shoot the crap out of them.
If you have any trouble with them, at least you have an army to fall back on for help...:D

I've had my 10/22 for over 20 years. No plastic on mine.

I shudder to think of how many rounds it has fired. It was my first gun and I would never sell her.

I've owned 3, and never a hiccup. Thousands and thousands of rounds down the pipe, no issues. You know how it is, for every 100 good ones theres 1 bad one, that's the guy that's noisy about it. The rest let their shooting do the talking.
