Original Flintlock parts - Sources?

Hi guys,

does anyone have a list of dealers/ websites where I can possiblly get original antique flintlock parts? I am am looking for British military flintlock parts (i.e. Tower locks) to complete several projects, but there does not appear to be many dealers for antique original parts.

Please share you sources.

I occasionally see original (alledgedly) bess cocks on Ebay but for all of the internal parts you are far better off to make them yourself. Most original parts if you even found them, are not particularly interchangeable between locks.

Finding original TOWER parts, let alone ones that fit is almost impossible,but never say never. Here is couple of links to kick start your search. Good luck lad!

Dixie gun works has many parts. A lot of reproduction parts , but some originals.I believe they are on-line .

British military parts

I have a worn but complete flintlock, I believe from a sea-service pistol, also a Martini-Henry 577-450 in nice shape , a Manton carbine lock with hrh W markings and an original Ferguson sporting lock. What do you have to trade? Thank you! C_F
