Calgary Clinic - 06 Jun 2009 Debrief HERE!

Savage:

Just to confirm.... I will bring a set of vise jaw blocks for demo and tweaking purposes. I'll leave my heavy old school jaw blocks here for weight issues with my baggage. I'll also leave my receiver wrenches here and use yours for teaching purposes.

We are a week away and this is getting exciting!

I won't be in the clinic, but I will be working that day. Just look for the guy wearing the well worn OD TSE cap, that'll be me. Now the GTAW may be a problem...

I bring my action wrench and Barrell vise

A heads up for all those attending.... I will be brining all the chemicals and kit needed to re-parkerize my gas cylinder assembly. If you have any small parts (FH, gas cylinders, sights etc) to parkerize feel free to join in on the experiment.

Also, If you intend to drill, hammer etc etc don't forget your safety glasses.

For all those attending that don't know Calgary all that well. TSE is within spitwad range of Whole Sale Sports and Lee Valley Tool. Also, the new Pro Bass Shop located between Calgary and Airdrie is well worth a look.

I won't be there after all :(

New and improved summer schedule is out and I'm now slatted to work. Price I gotta pay for taking 5 weeks off this summer

Anyone interested in my spot......PM me and I'll forward you name to Hungry/Savage.

Okay, so do we have anybody with a glass bedding job? Should I bring my little tubes of JB Weld? Gotta start packing tonight for the Friday night flight to Calgary!

We certainly will be making lots and lots of shims so along come my shim making tools! :D

Barrel wrenches and vise jaw blocks are staying here since Savage is bringing his along....

Got lots and lots of syringes (curved tip) for all of you. Even got the grease! Bring a toonie for the syringe and the grease itself is free! :)

I need someone to haul / bring along a couple of 4" or 5" C Clamps to re-index or re-barrel using my sectioned cleaning rods. Anybody able to bring some along? Things are getting heavy flying with all my tools. This time I'm bringing my M14 demonstrator along. I left it behind for the Edmonton Nov 8, 2008 Clinic (Sosa hosted) and Winnipeg April 4, 2009 (Fire and Suprathepeg hosted)!

Most of my tools are packed. I'm only in Calgary for 36 hrs, so clothes are not a priority. I'll bring along a windbreaker since the weather is calling for warm temperatures. Yeeeha ! :D

I've got a few small c clamps as well but I dunno if they're the right size. I'll bring em along anyways.

Some GNers have been having issues downloading the 04 Abbotsford clinic videos from the Military Surplus Collectors form. If you are one of those individuals, bring a thumb drive or SD card with 350mb free space and you can snag a copy from my laptop.

Also, if you want a head space check, bring 3 fired casings. I'm sure 45 and Hungary will also be equipped to perform that check.

Starscream: As long as the c clamps can secure a cleaning section rod to the flash hider. And also a cleaning rod section to the rear sight base right just on top of the horseshoe tang.

GNMontey: What a great idea of downloading the video.

Yes, I will bring along my .308 Win RCBS Precision Mic to measure any fired brass that you will bring along. :D

Thanks for the heads up on the cooler weather coming! It's all good. We have that near freezing temp right here in Bantario today. I can cope with it.
