Has anyone painted a scope, what problems did you encounter if any, what type of paint and was it successful.I might try one.Any thoughts would be helpful.

I've used Krylon paint and cheap scopes I don't give a s##t about and it works great. Just use a coat of primer and do many small coats and let dry well before switching colors. I would be reluctant to use paint on expensive scopes cuz I'm very certain that would void the warranty.

On expensive scopes I just tie on a piece of cam net to camouflage it.

Unless its a work scope, I wouldn't paint a high end scope. As said, diminishes the resale value, if you decide to sell it down the road. A cheap scope, it wouldn't make a difference to me. Wrapping a scope is more effective in my opinion and its easy to remove and change to your enviroment.

Painting a scope is a big deal,

I painted my rifle: but didn't do the scope because doing so would pretty much permanently match the rifle, and I may decide to chance scopes in the near future. instead I just wrapped it with matching camo strips

If you do though decide to paint your scope, I would do it right with something like duracoat, ceracoat or armacoat, all very good paints.

The bi-pod is an Accu-Shot Atlas BT-10, currently my favorite, plus Wolverine Supplies carries the complete Accu-Scot product line.

They offer some great add-on's like leg extension and interchangeable feet
