If you can find it. And afford it. Personally hollowpoints for handguns, are one of the best reasons to get into reloading. You can load your own hollowpoints, for about half the price of factory FMJ.

Why not?

We can buy ammo like Winchester Ranger and Winchester Ranger SXT, and Federal Tactical Law Enforcement ammo that specifically say on the box "Law enforcement ammunition only, not for private sale".

Having said that, I have yet to find a store that sells Gold Dot.

The Shooting Edge carries Gold Dot and usually has it in stock in the popular calibers.

Roll your own! The only squibs I have ever had were with pricey "Personal Protection" ammo. Much nicer knowing your bullets have powder in them IMO.
