I am sure that that there are some of you who trap. I have my trappers course done and i am intersted in getting into it next fall. I was wondering where everyone here gets their trapping supplies. I am in newfoundland so there isn't much of a choice so mail order is pretty much a must. Where would everyone recomend to get some traps and beginning supplies? also if andone has some traps for sale i might be interested.

Clarence Pritchett should have been able to give you some idea of where to get supplies when you did the course. In any event, Google quickly turned up this supplier in New Brunswick:

There is a gentleman on the west coast of the province who deals in all kinds of trapping supplies. Blue Ridge in Lewisporte also carry some supplies. You can pretty much buy air craft cable for fox/coyote snares anywhere. The locks and related hardware are available from any mailorder trapping supply house, including the guy out in Corner Brook IIRC. I'll dig out his contact info and post it. If you buy in quantity, sometimes there are deals to be had on eBay. Just want to be sure of the shipping charges beforehand and only ship via USPS and not a courier.
 
In Ontario we have Trans Canada Trapline Co. however I would not recommend them. They have always screwed up my orders, lost my credits when they over charged me and still have $75 of mine they promised to return but never have. They have an online store if you are interested in prices (which aren't bad).

I use Halford Hide now or a small local supplier. Halford orders are best called in, they screwed up my past 2 orders I faxed in (sent the wrong items).
