I think it looks rather interesting and yes I agree the 10/22 AR kits look better but as an out of box rimfire I would buy one just for the heck of it... but then again I bought the Baikal MP-161K and I think it has a nice look and feel...

These rifles drive me nuts as any type of scope has to be mounted 12 feet above the bore line due to the stupid stock layout. Who cares if it looks tacticool if the thing is useless at tin can ranges?

LOL oh well I suppose you can mount a carry handle or $150 flip-up sights if you don't want to mount a scope on a riser. Either way nothing at bore line. I think we're getting dumber as the decades progress.

Looks like a fun layout to me, but it will have to prove to be improved in quality over the standard 597 before I'd consider buying one. I've heard too many reports that 597's are crap. I put together a 10/22 evolution with a decent barrel and I'm glad I did.

My thoughts exactly, If I hadn't sold it for such a low price I would have felt bad passing on my POS 597.

We are presently on order for the full stock model and should be arriving in July. These are non restricted and are expected to be about $600 CDN. These are very limited in supply and we have several back orders in place already so don't delay if you want one. Phil.

600 isn't bad... I'd take a new production stock 597 over a new production stock 10/22 any day. 597 + 1913 rail + a AR style stock no one else is making... dunno, seems fair.

What I really want is a FS556 for the 597, and short threaded barrels

Well, if you had a 22MAG HB or .17 for that matter, version already it would be no big deal to swap the accesories over to it. It would be lacking the 16" barrel though
