The "28 Ga. Society"is a web site that deals with the 28 gauge only.Anyone who is a fan of the 28 gauge should check it out.

Thanks, will check that out. Frankly, I was getting bored with the Shotgun Forum here. Nothing much other than topics on "shotties" and "tacties" :D.

Now-a-days, I find that it is mostly the Rifle forum and EE that makes me keep coming back.

I'll second that, Must be getting old when the term " shottie " pis* me off.

I looks like it will be a fun site, for sure, and as it s dedicated to the 28 gauge , hopefully we are not going to run into the "you can't do that with a 28, you need a 12" type of stuff.
Besides, I don't think I have EVER seen a "tactical" 28 gauge!!:D

I had asked a while back if they could separate the tacticool shotty's from the shotguns and have two separate forums. They said no back then. Maybe it's time to ask again.

If we aren't splitting pistols and revolvers, there is no way in hell we'll ever split tactical and and sporting shotguns, even though I would like to hear less whining from the fudds, I do indeed appreciate and will eventually buy a semi-fine/fine sporting shotgun, probably in 20 guage and probably an A.H. Fox, but possibly a spanish. I just think the mods are right in that splitting up the threads too much is to much of a pin in the ass. If you don't like the tactical threads then don't read past the headline. You could also try posting more interesting stuff to keep the interest alive.

Shottie Shotty Shotti Shoddy Chottee! :D - Take that!

I think in reality, whether or not a shotgun is used form one thing or another is not too big a deal, like was said, you don't have to read a "tactical" thread if you don't want to.
I doubt if someone deicated to three gun and not upland gives a rat's azz if
I start a thread about a super 28 gauge load I developed for partridge:cool:

I can't see much point in splitting the forums. I use shotguns for hunting, clay targets and have what would pass as a "tactical" gun for use on the farm. I call it my PC gun. PC stands for Predator Control. :)

But I do like the 28 gauge and the new forum. Now if only I could get 28 gauge slugs, a 28 gauge 870 Express, a short barrel, Surefire forend and ghost rings that would fit. ;)

I hardly ever come in here cause like everyone else I'm tired of all the Tactical stuff on both rifles and shotguns...it has it's uses just it's not my thing (I will support it when it comes under the ANTI'S Scope of Persecution). I'll have to take a look at the 28 Gauge website. I'm a 12 or 20 kinda guy but then I've never had any reason to look at anything smaller be nice to learn about the 28 gauge. Mr. Friendly is totally a 12 gauge can do it better kinda guy....like talking to a brick wall if you like anything smaller. Mr. Friendly is my Brother so I'm not really Maligning him any more then I do to his face :D

Definitely learn about the 28 gauge. There is nothing better than seeing the look of surprise on a 12 gauge shooter's face when your score is as good if not better than his.

Of course it doesn't come as a surprise to the people who shoot 28 gauge. ;)
