The CFC has had my application for less than 28 days, but as advised on CGN, I called in, and have asked my references to call in.
I assumed my wife - you know, the person who has to live with a gun toting freak
- would have to do an interview with the CFC, so I had her call in.
It turns out they told her they didn't have to talk to her - unless specifically flagged - and they didn't ask her anything.
So, let me get this straight ... they have to talk to me. I have to be not stupid enough to contradict what I wrote on my application. They have to talk to my references ... people who, presumably, I have checked with ahead of time so they won't screw it up for me. But my wife, who may or may not have a legitimate grievance as regards me getting my RPAL ... they don't have to talk to her?!
WTF?
Whatever.

And they ask me if I've ever suffered from depression or thought about suicide. "Why, yes, I do suffer from depression, and I am suicidal ... is that a problem?"
