Do you like your OUTLAW ?

I heard mixed stories about them, but decided to see for myself. I tried all kinds of different loads and never had any sort of issue at all. My only issue was the migraine I got after loading 2 slugs and pulling both triggers!:eek:I don't recommend that to anyone btw.

Yes, good point. Has anyone tried shooting hand thrown clays with one of these yet?? :D

I've done this, mainly just chucking them myself though. It's just a little worse than my 870, at this particular endeavor. The good thing is the second round is a lot quicker with this than the 870. Of course, I believe the operator is the limitting factor here

When I have my Dad out at the range with me to toss them for me, I can do fairly well. But he's really recoil sensitive (lazy colon cancer survivor :p), and doesn't like the Outlaw, but he will shoot the 870 (as close to centrefire as he gets). The Right barrel on mine IS noticeably more accurate than the left. I usually load 2 rounds, throw one clay, if the right barrel misses, I give the left a shot, the right is a 75% proposition, the left cleans up about half of the rest. I've not tried with any machine thrown clays yet, but I can't see them being further away helping accuracy any.

I've been shooting clays with it. Using Kent low velocity 2 3/4 shells. It works fine at Short range with very, very mild recoil. If I was to whip A clay way out there I would be difficult at best. I've also taken some gophers with it. Its nice because I can put it in my backpack and pull it out quickly for the close encounters and it is easy to carry around.

How many close encounters have you had backpacking in and around Brandon? I'm not that familiar with the outlaw but it sounds like a real treat.
Do you keep it loaded when it's in your back pack?

Has anyone tryed putting a sling on one of the Outlaws or would they be too short for a sling to work? Or is stuffing it in a backpack the best option to carry one around in the backcountry?

Close encounters with gophers silly. I leave it loaded in my pack. Wont go off until the hammers are cocked.

Cool. I used to shoot hand thrown clays with my 14 inch HP9, and it worked good out to about 30 yards.. after that.. sketchy at best. LOL Was wondering how one of these would do..

I took mine out to shoot hand thrown class with a friend a couple of weeks ago, it worked great. Everybody who shoots mine ends up wanting one.

I've got a little over 300 various loads through mine, it was hard to open once, no other hiccups.

To all the ones #####ing about the Outlaw:

Please PM me and I will gladly buy it off you.

Otherwise TS.

I really feel bad for CanAm. Having to put up with people like us. We ##### and ##### we want something, something cool, cheap, and fun. Guys like CanAm pony up, listen to their customers and bring the product, and then we ##### our brains out when something isn't just right.

I for one am definitely happy. Just got the chance to take it out today and put about 25 target shells through and some slugs. Bit stiff to open but it seemed to loosen up a bit near the end. Forestock is still tight and no issues with anything.

It's a $300 shotgun and if it get's more ppl into shooting then that's definitely worth it!

I did get the "is that legal" questions tho :)

Is there smaller gauge inserts available fot the Outlaw? It would be kinda cool to shoot some 410 or 20 ga. out of a 12" barrel. We could call them really little skeaters.

Stoeger (IGA) backpacker .410 gauge. 15 inch barrel and 11 inch stock.

"11" stock? Is this a thread for Circus people only? I am not what you would call tall, but with an 11" stock I would be looking over the top of the barrel. Is this why these guns shoot so high?

So I tried the outlaw on some clays thrown from a EZ thrower, and neither me or my bro could hit any of them. :( We did fine with guns with other shotguns, just not the range on the outlaw. I didn't think it would do good, but we couldn't hit any of them.

Works with a sling:D Pic of the backpacker with one...

Pattern, mine shoots substantially high (the way I hold it) with target and slugs. Mine is fairly precise, and once we realised we needed five feet of holdover at 35-40 yards, we could pretty regularly hit an old car stereo subwoofer box my brother brought to the pit to shoot, with .690 roundball slugs.

I don't own an Outlaw. But I do own a Grizzly, and it is a good shotgun. I will be buying an Outlaw in the near future. I cannot believe some of the people on this forum, #####ing away. I am glad that we have people like CAN-AMMO that are bringing fun toys like these shotguns into the Canadian Market. No I don't like buying Chinese stuff, but again alot of us can't afford the European or the American stuff either. So good for you Can-Ammo, I am going to order an Outlaw!
