Wait Time for RPAL? - How Long Did Yours Take?

42 days from the day my app (upgraded Possess to RPAL) was put into the mail.
CFC computer updated on the 32nd day (noted received). 33rd day, called to inquire the status and was asked questions to clarrify items (current marital status and who I am living with). 35th day, referrals were interviewed on the phone. 37th day, approval given on their computer. 42nd day, received in the mail.
Since receiving the RPAL - a drastic drop in my liquidity. The armory has grown from 2 to 9 and looks like a personal financial depression is just around the corner.
Does this strange phenomenon happen to everyone who gets their PAL/RPAL???

My plastic was issued yesterday. Judging from this thread, I should have mine next week. I already feel liquidity problems and I didn't buy anything yet. LOL!
 
Just think, after all this waiting for your RPAL is over....you'll get to play the "transfer" waiting game, where you and a lucky friend/spouse get to wait 4-6 weeks for a restricted firearm to transfer. :p
 
Could it differ depending on the Province?

I can only speak from own experience in B.C. Over the last three months, purchased 3 RESTRICTED firearms. Longest approval time - 5 days. Shortest - 2 days. This approval is the actual date approved - does not include mail time which is another 2 to 3 days.

That makes me cry. I live in Ontario, where transfer times tend to depend on the CFO throwing a dart at a calendar.:(
 
Mine was close to six months. I sent it in and forgot about it. I called on a Friday afternoon and when they looked it up it was pretty much done and had just been sitting there. Got home the following Monday and it was in the mailbox. If it has been over the 45 days give them a call.
 
30 days from application sent to the time I received the PAL.
I told them I needed it for work and coloured the envelope pink . (I was thinking of thinking of taking some shifts with Brinks, and needed it before I could apply)
After receiving the Pal I spent my time at the range instead.
I am not saying lie about the work angle, but before you even apply to any cash in transit companies you must have a PAL in hand.
