can't see why not, new gun , not the real old guns , with fluid barrels, what action?
I don't see why not in a gun in safe condition. Where would you find 2-5/8" slugs, anyway?
Are you measusing the round before firing and calling it 2 5/8"?
The length of a shot shell is the length, AFTER it has been fired. The chamber has to be long enough to acomodate the crimped over case, after it opens up.
2 5/8" might be the lenght of an unfied 3" shell. You CANNOT shoot a 3" in a 23/5" chamber.
never heard of a 2 5/8" shell, so wondering where you got that number from.
2 5/8 is about the length of an average so called 3 inch round. I think Ganderite has it rite![]()
I think 70mm is a 2 3/4 shell, so if it says 67.6mm, is sounds a bit shorter, so should work just fine in the barrel. Whether the action will feed it is another issue.
