AR rail covers

Anyone that sells ar stuff. Wolverine,Questar,Epp's,etc Brownells too. Half the time when you buy from someone up here it comes in a Brownells package.

Yeah save yourself the trouble and buy from Brownell's, you will see your item in about a week, They have Magpul XT panels instock aswell as Magpul's other style. Their shipping is dirt cheap and their pricing is amazing, plus the dollars decent right now. Examples, I bought a Midwest Industries rear flip sight and saved over 50 bucks compared to Questar. I also bought a Magpul MAID full grip kit for 46 bucks, Canadian currency, gst included, and shipped to my door... Lastly I bought some Magpul XT textured rail panels, 3 for 36 bucks "all in" shipped to my door, just over 12 bucks each... I had a guy try selling me these used for 20 bucks each, cuz apparently they were hard to find..... Do yourself a favor a buy from Brownell's....

PS when searching for items on Brownells website I find it easier to use the search function, IE type in "Magpul" or "Tango Down" and you'll find all the items available from these manufacturers... Good Luck...

Support local dealers is my advice. And even with a strong dollar right now, with shipping and the potential cost of the customs 'handling' fee if they open your box, you're better off buying from Martin, Colin, Rick and the guys at Dave's.

I've got the XTM panels on a few of my guns now and they're great. Much more flexibility for different areas of the rails not taken up by lights, vert grips, ATPIAL, UNS, etc.

Dude I just said I saved more money buying from Brownell's with no hassel.... Also Dave's doesn't have any rail panels instock, period, nobody does.... I am for supporting the local dealers too, dont get me wrong... But if they dont have anything instock then how can I support them... Secondly some of the smaller items you find instock locally are ridiculously over priced, IE the 50 bucks I saved verse going to Questar for the flip sight.....

PS theres no "customs" BS to deal with, its called, NAFTA.... Secondly the price of the item is disclosed on the outside of the box, you dont get hasseled for small cheap items.... Atleast i havent Anyway..... the items get shipped Canada post via US postal, you dont do a thing you just order your item and it shows up, no prob....

The panels are listed at $8usd. From Dave's they're $10cad. So after exchange and shipping, I think it might be cheaper from Dave's.

However, that means nothing if there are none in stock.

There could be customs bs to deal with... There's no rhyme or reason to why they open certain packages. I'd say you've been lucky to never have it happen.

I've ordered a few things from Brownells as well, and it's been 50/50 for whats been opened and not.

I could be wrong but, Customs cant just start opening packages thats illegal... thats why the item description and value of the goods is disclosed, they can x-ray they cant open.... I've got like 10 packages from brownells these past few months and I havent had one problem at the boarder.....

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! You don't realise how funny that is do you. They opened my Stack On parcel because it had a "gun part" in it. A warrenty replacement lock for my "gun" cabinet.

Customs cant just start opening packages thats illegal...

Oh yea, customs opens packages. I bought an autographed boxing glove and the fu*kers opened it to make sure it was what it was. Also bought a sega genesis from ebay and the vomit heads opened that and charged tax saying the "genesis" was an "xbox".

customs...

X2.

Customs opens whatever they feel like, for reasons usually only apparent to them. I don't know if they're looking for donuts or what.
However, I've ordered a number of gunsmithing tools from Brownells, and never had a package opened. I've also never been charged extra by the post office when picking a parcel up, so I guess I'm one of the lucky ones.
I'm not even going to poke my nose into the "buy local vs spend less" debate.

Cheers.

Tim

US Customs and Border Protection sometimes checks exports from Brownells to ensure that nothing is being exported in violation of ITAR. I had a letter in one of my parcels declaring a Magpul MOE pistol grip controlled under ITAR.

They probably know brownells is very "by the books" when sending stuff, but they will open stuff up on occasion.

Most of the time, if they have the customs info enclosed on the outside package, they will just make sure its all in order, then ship it off...

Although brownells is one of the few US companies that still ships everything they can to Canada :D

Like I said, "I could be wrong" ... I stand corrected... :)

Thats interesting i wonder if theres inconsistency's at Brownell's because I have received a few different style grips, including Magpul MAID...

Anyhoo my point is, regardless of what customs can or cannot do, being able to shop at brownells is a god send.... I have saved a ton of money and have had zero problems.... [fingers crossed]

so far they seized a harley davidson rescue knife saying it opened by centrifugal force (guaranteed its in someone's pocket) and I had a sog trident shipped which was opened by customs but when I opened my package there was only the empty box the trident came in. and I have about a 50/50 pay or not pay at the post office.
