Hello all!!

I was wondering if anyone is using the Elcan Specter DR for service rifle and if there are any thoguhts on such.

regards

I have it and love it... Zero at 100 and use the BDC with no problems. The only thing I had to get used to is the 1/2 MOA wind adjustment and that the clicks are opposite than the service issue elcan.

The lever arms base is solid in my opinion.

Everything I want in one optic.

The harsh marks are a bit thicker than I like - I am used to the finer ones with ACOG.

The major improvement is that they took away the slag between the elevation drum and the sight body. So it won't do the up and down thing. If it breaks....you will see it right the way. :)

I had a brown Gen 2 USSOCOM model with finer hash-marks than the ones we are currently getting here in Canada. RichLPS is running it on a HK MR223 now, and he tells me he thinks highly of it.

I played with one - it is nice.

Elcan harsh marks are much thicker than ACOG. For range use, it is not as nice as ACOG.

The 1.5MOA does kick ass - remind me of using NF.
